I am so glad that you found our consultation reassuring and I was able to allay your fears. I am sorry that I won’t be available for your next follow up appointment, but rest assured that there is a clear plan in place and that you will be in the capable hands of my specialist colleagues. Warmest regards Riem

I would just like to say thank you to doctor Johnson and her team; big shout out to the amazing anaesthetists who made me feel very relaxed, considering I was lying on an operating table in an interesting piece of fashion known as a patient theatre gown lol. I went in to have a ganglion cyst removed and found a team of people who really made me feel relaxed and cared for; It really does make a huge different. It was my first time having an operation and even if a small one I felt a bit anxious but Dr.Johnson's sense of humour and professionalism (perfect combination) left me feeling so positive about my experience that I'll definitely book myself in when another ganglion pops up (said humorously). All the best to the team, Robbie

I have nothing but good to say about Dr Johnson, not only she is a great surgeon but also she is a very caring and kind human being. She actually listens to you, she doesn’t want the consulting session to be over quickly, she was very understanding about my situation and took a great care of me before and after my surgeries. I think she goes over and beyond for her patient and I consider myself very lucky for being under her care.

Mrs Johnston undertook a partial fasciectomy on my right hand. Three months on and I am very pleased with the outcome. Excellent treatment throughout.

Background
I qualified as a doctor from the University of Leicester and then completed my basic surgical and orthopaedic training in the NorthEast of England. I then undertook a year of fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, specialising in Hand and wrist surgery. Following this, I worked as a locum hand consultant in the Pulvertaft Hand Unit in Derby, before taking up my current substantive post as a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon in Brighton. In addition to my NHS work, I also practice privately at the Montefiore Spire Hospital.
